img_4436.JPGimg_4440.JPGimg_4461.JPG

We will be preforming for the first time in San Fransisco on October 25th at the Onsix Gallery (60 6th Street). It is all part of a fun night of music and art featuring paintings by Jesse Michaels (Op Ivy, Common Rider) and Douglas Burns (Observers, Revisions). Jesse will preform a solo set and The Revisions will play a short set followed by a Red Dons set. Click here to read an article about the show in Noise Pop News.

The show will also be guitarist Andy Foote’s last performance with the Red Dons. He is leaving the project to focus more time toward school and his other music projects like No Secrets Between Sailors. Zach Brooks (Soda Pop Kids, Scott Baio’s Army) will take his place.

We are also planning a tour through Brazil. Looks like the dates will be January 7th – 27th. We will have more dates and info soon.

Hello everyone and welcome to a new year. Although 2007 was great, we are really looking forward to what we have in store for 2008. First off, thanks to everyone who tuned-in to KSPU on December 24th to listen to us play live on Sound Judgment. If you didn’t get a chance to listen and would like to hear the show, we have our set posted on our Sounds page. Or, click here to listen to the show in its entirety which includes a very special reading by us & Arya of The Night Before Christmas.

If you haven’t already heard, there have been some changes to the regular line-up. Now with Justin focusing his attention on his new project Suspect Parts, Andy Foote from No Secrets Between Sailors has been playing with us until a permanent guitarist is found.

As for upcoming shows, we will be playing in the Portland area in February and March and this summer we are planning a long awaited U.S. tour with Peter Bonneman from Gorilla Angreb and the Estranged. If you can help us book a show in your town please let us know. We will post dates soon.

Thanks and once again here is the set from the Sound Judgment radio show.

The last two months have been very busy for the Red Dons. Our debute ep Escaping Amman was released on Deranged Records, we toured with the Clorox Girls, found a new drummer, and recorded an LP.

Richard Joachim is now drumming for both the Revisions and the Red Dons. This is not the first time that Joachim and Burns have worked together. Joachim played drums briefly in the Speds and the Observers. He has made the transition from one drummer to the other a very smooth process and we are all very excited that he is now in the band. Here is a song entitled This City from our upcoming LP, Death to Idealism coming out this summer on Deranged Records featuring Joachim on drums.
